‘The best that I can be’
Get rid of all rage and anger, fighting and gossip. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as through Jesus Christ, God forgave you.
The children had a great time on Monday when Lucy from ‘West End in Schools’ came and led workshops with each class on ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. The day ended with some excellent performances from the children.
Year 5 and 6 visit to the Hindu Temple
Class 5&6 were overjoyed to go on this trip. The owners of the temple were welcoming to us and showed us how they live their lives. We had an amazing time.
Year 3 and 4 Hockey Tournament
Years 3 and 4 attended a Hockey Festival on 16th March at Coopers Coburn School. They won 1 game and drew 2, even though it was a very cold and windy day. The children had a great day and are looking forward to more sports events.
Health and Safety Course
I will be out for the second half of my IOSH health and safety course on Thursday and Friday. Please raise any concerns which cannot wait until Monday with Mr. Evans or Mrs. McCormack.
Class 5 and 6 arrangements.
As some of you may know, Mrs. Potts is off work for health reasons. She will return to school in May. Meanwhile, Mrs. Marshall is doing an excellent job of supporting the learning of our Year 5 and 6 children. Ms Chugh is covering me whilst I am on my course and will be joining the Year 5 and 6 team on Fridays after Easter. This will allow me more time to dedicate to my leadership responsibilities after Mr. Evans leaves. I am still very much involved in the planning, teaching and assessment in Year 6 and we are all working together in order to ensure continuity and high quality teaching and learning for the pupils.
Please note: there will be NO clubs next week. The new list of clubs will be published at the beginning of next term. After Easter, Reception children will be able to attend clubs.
HABCOS Easter Event
Please join the Havering-atte-Bower Conservation Society for their Easter egg hunt and bonnet parade on the village green at 12pm on Easter Sunday. The event starts at 12pm and the cost is £2.50 per child. Adults will be responsible for their own children. Please call or text
Nicky Gates- 07919933866 or Jenny Gwinn- 07977024055 to book your places.
We will be launching our new lunch menu straight after Easter (this will be posted on the website next week). Please encourage your child to try the new dishes on offer.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming the new Vicar, the Reverend David Anderton, during our Easter service on Thursday 24th March (Maundy Thursday). Please join us at St. John the Evangelist Church in the green at 1.30pm.
