Reading the newsletter
Please can you ensure that you read the newsletter thoroughly, so that you do not need to telephone the office for information that has already been given to you. The newsletter is posted on the website and emailed to parents, but we have an increasing amount of parents asking for paper copies. Please do not ask for a paper copy unless you do not have a computer or access to the internet. If you have technical issues, please let us know and we will do our best to resolve them. Paper copies cost the school money and take up valuable admin time. Thank you for your co-operation.
Children in Need
Our final total was £333. Well done, everyone!
Friends of Dame Tipping Christmas Fayre
The Christmas Fayre will take place on Friday 9th December from 3-6pm at St. John’s church hall. We require donations for the chocolate tombola, teddy bear tombola, wine tombola and any unwanted, unused gifts. Any donations of gift vouchers etc… for the raffle are also needed, so if you, or someone you know has a business or a contact who could provide some good prizes, we would be very grateful.
Mathletics
Please encourage your children to log on to Mathletics and complete the homework activities set by their teacher. During November, there is also a Mathletics Challenge, which the children can take part in and earn points for our school. There will be a prize for the child who completes enough to become our school ‘Mathletics Champ’. If you have any technical issues regarding Mathletics, please let us know. The programme works best on tablets and smart phones if you download the app. Your child can also use a PC or laptop. The Mathletics website also has very useful help pages.
Christmas Lunch
Our school Christmas lunch will be served on Monday 19th December this year. The children can come to school wearing their Christmas jumpers instead of their school ones for a small donation (charity to be decided on by the children). The menu will be : roast turkey or vegetable plait, with all the trimmings. £2.20 for KS2 pupils and free to all Reception and KS1 pupils.
School Kits
There are a number of children who have not returned their school kits and tracksuits after wearing them for matches and events. Please return all kits (washed and dried) to Mrs. Potts as soon as possible so that they can be worn for forthcoming events.
