‘The best that I can be’
Supporting Our Local Community
We have been very busy at Dame Tipping raising money for our local community. The first event was carol singing at Queen’s hospital. Our small choir of Year 5 and 6 pupils sang beautifully and raised £83.34 in just half an hour. The second event involved the whole school. The children were sponsored to run across the fields wearing the reindeer antlers that they had made. We raised an astonishing £2037.87! The money will go to provide children in hospital over Christmas with gifts. We are so proud of the compassion that our children, parents and staff show to others.
Eco-friendly Christmas
In order to try to be more friendly to the environment, we are suggesting that instead of the children sending individual cards, that they send 1 card to all their friends. The cards will be displayed on a special Christmas message board in the hall for everyone to see. The staff are leading by example and have a message board in the staffroom ; they are going to make a small donation to charity instead of spending the money on cards.
Dame Tipping Gospel Choir
Our Christmas singalong/carol service will take place at St John the Evangelist church from 6.30-7.30pm on Wednesday 12th December. Tickets cost £5 and include a mince pie and warm Christmas punch (non-alcoholic).Lat year’s event was very well received, so please purchase tickets for yourself, friends and family. Tickets can be purchased from a member of the choir or from the school. All money raised will be used to buy resources for our children.
Lost Coat
Please check at home in case your daughter has taken home someone else’s coat by mistake. The coat which went missing from school last Friday belongs to one of our Year 3 girls. It is a black coat with a furry hood. Thank you.

Unified And Diverse
We all have similarities
We all have differences no matter what people say.
We’re not all the same
But we’re special in our own way.
We all share sadness at one time or another.
We all feel at times that we want to be embraced.
We all feel happy with friends
Regardless of the colour or race.
Our individuality brings us happiness.
Our differences should bring us closer
Our kindness should bring us friendship
Our diversity should bring us together.
