‘The best that I can be’

Psalm 37:30 The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.

This week has been short but sweet. We’ve packed a lot into 3 days ! We have lots more fun activities planned for the last few days too.

Narnia

We had a fantastic time at the Brentwood Theatre performance of Narnia this morning.
‘I loved it!’ Ella Year 1.
‘It was amazing!’ Rhiannon Year 2.

Reception and Class 1 and 2 Christmas Bazaar

Thank you for all the generous donations of cakes, sweets and money. We will let you know how much we have raised as soon as we have counted it all up.

Reception and Class 1 and 2 Nativity

We were treated to a fabulous performance of ‘Whoopsie Daisy Angel’ yesterday. The children sang, acted and danced beautifully and looked wonderful in their costumes. Thank you to all the Reception and Class 1 and 2 staff for their hard work and to the Friends of Dame Tipping for selling refreshments and raffle tickets. We raised over £150, which will go towards new equipment and resources.

Dame Tipping Gospel Choir

Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas concert on Wednesday. It was a lovely evening and we raised over £350 to buy equipment for our new classrooms. If you enjoyed the concert and fancy being a part of the next one, please come along to our first rehearsal in January.

Buildings Update

The builders have been working really hard to complete the new classrooms by the end of term. We will be having a site meeting to hand them over next Tuesday and we plan to move the furniture in during the holidays in order that the children can start in their new classrooms when they return on the 3rd January. The rest of the building work, including the kitchen, is scheduled to be completed by the end of January. From the beginning of term, we will be serving jacket potatoes with toppings for 3 days a week whilst we wait for our full hot meal service to resume.

After School Care in January

We have had several requests from parents for child care just until 4pm. Whilst we are not able to offer an hourly rate (as we need to cover the cost of food and staffing) we have decided to trial a £4 session until 4pm (this will NOT include food). These sessions can be booked on the day, but must be paid for on sQuid before children attend. The cost will be £10 for children who stay after 4pm and this will include a hot snack (toast/muffin/crumpet etc…). Children need to be collected by 6pm.These sessions need to be paid for in advance and there will be no refunds if parents decide not to send their children. If you are interested in your child attending After School Care, please speak to Mrs Wakeman in the office, who will provide you with a booking form.

Breakfast club will continue at £4 per session, including breakfast, to be paid in advance.

Term Time Holidays

Please note that we will ask for medical evidence for absences immediately before and after the school holidays. This is to prevent parents telling the school that their children are unwell when they are actually on holiday. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Reception Places for September 2018

The deadline for applications for Reception places is 15th January 2018. If you have not already applied for your child, please ensure that you do not miss the deadline.
