‘The best that I can be’

SATs week

Year 6 tried their absolute best in their tests this week. We look forward to receiving their results in July. The children are very pleased that the tests are over, but ready to put all their effort into making sure their writing is the very best that it can be for the assessment next month. They had a fun day today, coming to school in non-uniform and sharing some treats.

Class 3 and 4 Music Visit to Albany School

The children in class 3 and 4 were treated to a music concert at the Albany School on Thursday, starring some of our peripatetic music teachers. If this concert has enthused your children to take up musical tuition, there are still spaces left. Please contact the office for more details.

Kingswood Meeting

Parents of all children who are going to Kingswood are invited to a meeting on 21st May straight after school, where we will give you more details about the visit and you will have an opportunity to ask questions. Please attend if at all possible, as the date of the visit is now only a couple of weeks away.

Secondary Transfer Talks

Parents of Year 5 pupils are invited to a meeting at 3.15pm on Wednesday 27th June, where a representative from the Local Authority admissions department will explain the secondary application process and answer any questions you may have.

Keep Clear Markings

The School Keep Clear markings immediately outside our school are imminently changing operational hours. You will not be able to park there from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday. Parking on these marking is illegal, so please refrain from doing so.

Registered Childminders

Please ensure that any paid childcare you use out of school (for example childminders or kids clubs) that you use are registered with OFSTED. There have been cases locally of unqualified/ unregistered companies and individuals offering childcare to parents.

Friends of Dame Tipping Family Fun Day

If you are able to lend us a hand on 30th June, please let us know in advance and all help is greatly appreciated.

Our next meeting is on the 7th June at 2:15pm in the school hall.

We will be running a drinks tombola for the adults on the day and are therefore asking all the parents to donate a bottle of drink each to fill the stall. You can bring in your donations from Monday onwards.

We look forward to seeing you on the 30th June.
