‘The best that I can be’

Activity Week

Class 5 and 6 have had a great time this week taking part in lots of outdoor and adventurous activities. They enjoyed Go-Karting and Laser Tag on Monday, a day of den building in the forest on Wednesday and lots of sports on Tuesday and Thursday. The week will be culminating in a whole day of water sports at Stubbers on Friday.

Quad Kids

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 pupils: Aaron, Zachary, Jamie, Chinaza, Paul, Tahir, Tommy, Lexi W, Sapphire, Sophia Louise and Deborah who took part in the Quad Kids athletics event yesterday at Hornchurch Sports Stadium. They all tried their absolute best and got some great times and great results. I was so proud to hear that the children’s behaviour and attitude was fantastic/ Well done!

An Evening of Song with Dame Tipping Gospel Choir (and friends!)

This event will take place on WEDNESDAY 3RD JULY at 6.30PM. Please put the date in your diaries and support this event by coming along with your friends and families. You can use the booking form given out to the children last week and you will receive printed tickets on payment (£5 adults, £3 children).

Attendance

Reception and 1 : 98% ; Class 2 : 95% ; Class 3 and 4 98:% ; Class 5 and 6 : 98%

Work of the Week

Reception/Year 1- Noah Chen for his fantastic independent Maths work.

Class 2- Armandas Zemaitis for his fabulous non chronological report and settling in so well to his new class.

Class 3/4- Guste Zemaityte for an excellent 1st week of hard work.

Commendations

Reception/Year 1- Layla- Rose Stevens for showing tolerance and understanding towards others.

Class 2- Harry Goodman for being a wonderful role model and learning ambassador.

Class 3/4- Fern Collins for being kind to others and trying hard to set a good example.

Oscar Knight- who was recognised by Miss North for helping the younger children in the lunch hall without being asked.

Hall Mead Secondary School

The SEN department at Hall Mead are having an open evening on Wednesday, 10th July, 2019, from 4pm until 6pmfor prospective parents.  The Open Evening is for current Y5s looking to apply for September, 2020.

Friday 21st June- New Reception intake information afternoon 1.15-2.30pm

Wednesday 3rd July- Dame Tipping Gospel Choir presents an evening of song at St. John’s Church 6.30pm

Tuesday 9th July- Open afternoon/meet your child’s new teacher 3pm-5pm

Wednesday 17th July -Year 5 and 6 Leavers’ Play ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ at the church hall 1.30 performance for school and 6.30 performance for parents

Thursday 18th July- Sports Day (more information to follow)

Monday 22nd July- Leavers’ service at the church at 10.30a.m, followed by a family picnic for all children and families back at school. This will finish at 1pm.
